The President of the Republic met with the Environment Committee of the Riigikogu

President Arnold Rüütel received the members of the Environment Committee of the Riigikogu this afternoon in the Kadriorg Presidential Palace. Having been a member of the Environment Committee as well when being a member of the Riigikogu, the President discussed with his former colleagues the possibilities for paying more attention to environmental protection issues as the head of state.
The taxable value of land and international co-operation in the field of environmental protection were talked about.
