The President of the Republic had a meeting with the Prime Minister24.10.2001
On the Wednesday meeting of President Arnold Rüütel and Prime Minister Mart Laar, the Prime Minister summed up his meetings in the United States of America and spoke of the future enlargement of NATO.
The President of the Republic was interested in possible loans from the World Bank for rural economy and health care projects.
Also damages caused to Estonia during the Soviet occupation were discussed, as well as the bill for amending the Language Act. On the meeting with the Prime Minister, the President of the Republic accentuated the need to allocate further funds for the improvement of the possibilities of young peoples free time activities.
