The President of the Republic today had a meeting with Hagi Shein, who worked as the representative of President Lennart Meri at the Roundtable of National Minorities.
Hagi Shein summed up the activities of the Roundtable so far, as well as the unfinished projects. President Rüütel appreciated the activities of the Roundtable and asked Hagi Shein to continue as the Presidents representative at the Roundtable. Also the situation of national minorities in Estonia and youth conflicts in Tallinn were discussed at the meeting.
On its next working meeting, on October 18, the Presidents Roundtable of National Minorities will discuss the possibilities for more specific regulation of the activities of the Sunday schools of national minorities.
