The President of the Republic announced a competition for the Young Scientist Prize28.09.2006
The President's Cultural Foundation announced the "Young Scientist of the Year 2006" competition. The deadline for the nomination of candidates will be 30 October 2006.
The Young Scientist Prize is intended for scientists of Estonian origin up to the age of 35, who have a doctor's degree and do research work at an Estonian or foreign research institution or university. The Young Scientist Prize amounts to 75.000 Estonian kroons and is funded by Mr Toomas Luman.
Candidates for the prize have to submit a written application with personal particulars and a short CV, description of their research work, a list of their published relevant scientific research and at least two references from their supervisors or teachers. Candidates may be put up by young scientists themselves as well as by their scientific supervisors and employers, etc, and also by members of the foundation's board.
All application documents are to be sent to the President’s Cultural Foundation (A. Weizenbergi 39, 15050 Tallinn).
