The President of the Republic sent a message of condolences to the President of Russia

Last night President Arnold Rüütel sent a message of condolences to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. In his message the President of the Republic expressed condolences on behalf of himself and the people of Estonia, on the occasion of the yesterday's passenger plane crash over Ukraine.
The message of condolences runs: ''It was with deep sorrow that I learned of the disastrous plane crash over Ukraine where so many people lost their lives. I wish you and your people strength in recovering from this terrible tragedy.''
