The President of the Republic met with the Mayor of Tallinn13.04.2006
President Rüütel today at Kadriorg met with Mayor of Tallinn Jüri Ratas.
The President of the Republic was interested to find out what progress has been made in connection with moving the transport of hazardous cargos outside highly populated residential areas. According to the Head of State it is an essential issue related to internal security, which he intends to follow closely also in the future.
Mayor Jüri Ratas introduced to President Rüütel detailed plan of Liberty Square, and in that connection also the possibility of using Liberty Square as a venue for Defence Forces parades and other state ceremonies in the future.
