PRELIMINARY NOTICE: The president of the Republic to hand over the Young Artist Prize20.06.2005
President Arnold Rüütel today, June 20, 4 pm at Kadriorg will hand over this year's Young Artist Prize.
This year the prize was awarded to a theatre director and actor, Jaanus Rohumaa who since 1991 has staged a number of specific plays.
The Young Artist Prize, issued by the President of the Republic's Cultural Foundation is awarded to Estonian artists up to the age of 35 years, whose artistic achievements have been widely recognized, or whose artistic work and activities have considerably helped to make Estonia and its culture known in the world. The award amounting 50 000 kroons is issued annually and it is financed by Toomas Luman, Board Member of the President of the republic's Cultural Foundation.
