The President of the Republic to make a state visit to Romania15.10.2003
President Arnold Rüütel and Mrs Ingrid Rüütel on 22 October accompanied by an official and a business delegation will embark on state visit to Romania.
The President of Romania, Ion Iliescu, will meet the Estonian Head of State in Bucharest. President Rüütel by his today's resolution on the occasion of his state visit conferred on President Iliescu the Collar of the Cross of Terra Mariana.
During the state visit scheduled to last until the evening of October 24, President Rüütel will also meet Chairman of the Senate Nicolae Vćcćroiu and Prime Minister Adrian Nastas. In the course of the meetings, three interstate agreements will be signed. The President, on top of that, will attend Romanian-Estonian economic forum at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bucharest, visit the Agricultural University of Bucharest, a rural museum and the City of Sinaia.
To the official delegation accompanying the President will belong Minister of Agriculture Tiit Tammsaar, State Secretary Heiki Loot, Governor of Eesti Pank Vahur Kraft, County Governor of Läänemaa Jaanus Sahk and others. Toomas Luman, the President of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will head the business delegation.
