The President's Cultural Foundation established a new prize12.09.2003
Alar Ojalo, Head of the President's Cultural Foundation, and Indrek Neivelt, Chairman of the Board of Hansapank, on 15 September at 14:00 pm at Kadriorg will sign an agreement on funding an Education Prize.
The Education Prize shall be awarded to educators at all levels having distinguished themselves by professional excellence in Estonian educational life as teachers, university teachers, leaders or employees of educational establishments, authors of methodological materials, as well as initiators and implementers of practical educational innovations, or as education officials who have developed education policy.
The Board of the Cultural Foundation shall select from among candidates three prizewinners. The President of the Republic shall hand over the prizes on World Teachers' Day, October 5. The prizes to the amount of 50,000, 30,000 and 20,000 kroons respectively will be funded by Hansapank.
The deadline for the submission of Education Prize candidates is 15 September 2003.
The President's Cultural Foundation also awards the annual Young Artist and Young Scientist Prizes.
