The President of the Republic to visit enterprises in South East Estonia24.08.2003
PRELIMINARY NOTICE
President Arnold Rüütel on August 25-27 will visit small and medium-sized enterprises in South East Estonia in order to examine how the enterprise support systems are functioning, to hear views and opinions of local entrepreneurs, and to carry out information work concerning the European Union.
The three-day visit will start in the County of Võrumaa where President Rüütel is going to call at the following enterprises and sites: Timo Keraamika, AS Abris, the Ski Centre of Haanja, the Tower of Munamäe, AS Meisli, the Creamery of Nopri and the Vastseliina Industrial Village.
In the evening of August 25 at the Hotel of Kubija, a seminar with the countys entrepreneurs will take place where the President of the Republic is going to speak about the development of regional enterprise and the European Union. Also specialists from the Estonian Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and from the Enterprise Estonia will take part in the seminar.
On the next day, President Rüütel in the County of Põlvamaa will familiarize himself with the following enterprises: Toomas Tobreluts Grain and Potato Farm, AS Cista, OÜ A&H Ristpalkmajad (a construction company), Põlvas Savings & Credit Cooperative, and Mahta Kütus. In the evening, a seminar with the countys entrepreneurs focusing on the European Union will take place in the hall of the County Governments Department of Education.
On August 27, the President of the Republic will visit the following enterprises in the County of Valgamaa: Otepää Lihatööstus Edgar (a meat processing plant), Sangaste Linnas, Silva-Agro, Linnu talu OÜ (a farm), Joka Maa OÜ, and Valervika AS. The three-day tour will end with a seminar on the European Union for local entrepreneurs.
