The President of the Republic congratulated sportsmen of Saaremaa04.07.2003
President Arnold Rüütel congratulated the team of Saaremaa that, among representatives of 24 islands, had performed successfully at the 2003 International Islands Games in Guernsey.
The President said that the islanders had made Saaremaa known and honoured in competition with more than 2500 sportsmen. He voiced hope that Saaremaa became a friendly and hospitable host for the participants of the next Island Games in the year 2009.
The President of the Republic is the Patron of the Island Games Association.
