The President of the Republic sent a message of condolences to the President of Russia

On his visit to Lithuania, President Arnold Rüütel extended condolences to the President of Russia over the bomb explosions in Moscow, which have caused multiple casualties.

On Saturday evening, President Arnold Rüütel expressed condolences to the Russian President’s Special Envoy to Central Federal District of Russia, Georgi Poltavtchenko, and asked him to convey his condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Today, President Arnold Rüütel sent President Vladimir Putin the following message of condolences: "It is with deep regret that I have received the news of the blasts in Moscow, with tens of your fellow countrymen killed and injured.

Please accept and convey to the families of those killed and to those injured this expression of sincere sympathy and condolences on behalf of myself and the people of Estonia."
