The President of the Republic left for EU-Russia Summit30.05.2003
President Arnold Rüütel and Mrs Ingrid Rüütel today flew to St. Petersburg in order to participate in a EU-Russia Summit scheduled to take place tomorrow.
This evening, the President of the Republic will attend a gala concert on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg at the Mariinsky Theatre and a following dinner on the ship Silver Whisper.
Tomorrow, the Estonian Head of State at the Palace of Congresses will take part in the Russia-EU Summit that focuses on the enlargement of the European Union and includes both Member States and acceding countries.
After the summit, President Rüütel will visit the Great Catherine Palace and the Hermitage, and attend the opening of the 300th anniversary festival on the Neva. In the evening, the President of the Republic will take part in a dinner hosted by the President of Russia and Mrs L.A. Putina in honour of the Heads of State arrived to the celebrations.
