The President of the Republic honoured a preserver of the Estonian heritage in the USA14.04.2003
President Arnold Rüütel today at noon at Kadriorg received Heino Jõgis, a long-time preserver of the Estonian heritage in the United States of America, and presented him with the 4th Class Order of the White Star.
This high state decoration was bestowed on Heino Jõgis on the occasion of the Independence Day for his services to Estonia. He is a member of the Estonian American National Council, and has also been a founding member of the Baltic American Committee and several Estonian societies as well as an active participant in political actions.
