The President's Cultural Foundation announced this year's Young Artist Prize01.04.2003
The President's Cultural Foundation announced a competition for the Young Artist Prize. The deadline for the submission of applications is 5 May 2003.
The prize to the amount of 40 000 Estonian kroons is awarded to Estonian artists up to the age of 35 years, whose artistic achievements have been widely recognized, or whose artistic work and activities have considerably helped to make Estonia and its culture known in the world.
Candidates may be put up by applicants themselves, their supervisers, teachers, employers etc., and also by the Members of the Board of the Cultural Foundation. The candidates have to submit a written application with personal particulars and a brief CV (name, address, education, occupational experience); description of creative activities; references from at least two recognized artists or one artistic association and one recognized artist. All documents concerning applications for the prize are to be sent to the President's Cultural Foundation (Weizenbergi 39, 15050 Tallinn).
The prize is awarded on a yearly basis, in spring, and funded by Toomas Luman, Member of the Board of the Cultural Foundation.
