The President of the Republic thanked Estonian skiers25.03.2003
 President Arnold Rüütel this midday at Kadriorg received the most successful Estonian skiers of the last season and their coaches in order to express his thanks to them.
Addressing world champion Kristina Šmigun, silver medal winner Jaak Mae, winner of several world cup stages Andrus Veerpalu, and coaches Anatoli Šmigun and Mati Alaver, the Head of State said that their victories had helped to strengthen the Estonians' self-confidence and brought to the piste hundreds of future champions.
A group picture was taken of the President with the skiers, coaches, and President of the Estonian Skiing Federation Toomas Savi and President of the Estonian Olympic Committee Mart Siimann participating in the meeting, and given to all those present.
