The President of the Republic presented Alar Karis with rectors badge of office21.02.2003
President Arnold Rüütel today took part in the inauguration of the Rector of the Estonian Agricultural Academy, Professor Alar Karis, and, at this festive ceremony, presented him with the rectors badge of office.
The Head of State voiced confidence that under the guidance of the internationally recognized scientist, Professor Alar Karis, both the old and new fields of research of the Agricultural Academy made good headway. In Presidents view, a host of young people continuing their scientific careers at their home university gave reason to be optimistic.
