The President of the Republic sent his condolences to the President of the United States01.02.2003
President Arnold Rüütel and Prime Minister Siim Kallas today, in connection with the accident happened to the space shuttle Columbia, sent their condolences to the President of the United States of America, George W. Bush.
They said in their letter of condolence: "We were shocked to hear of the disaster with the space shuttle Columbia. That is a tragedy not only to the American people but to the whole of mankind.
Please accept our deepest sympathy sent on behalf of the whole people of Estonia. We are standing next to you in mourning."
