At the request of the Head of State, the factions of the Riigikogu on Monday, February 3, will present him their positions on this issue, upon which the President will make his proposal for the appoinment to the Parliament.

At the today's meeting, President Rüütel and Prime Minister Kallas talked also about the need to conclude a national agreement and to sign a pertinent memorandum. As emphasized by the Head of State, an agreement like this would serve the purpose of strengthening civil society, and many potential partners to the agreement had already expressed their willingness to conclude it. The Prime Minister voiced his support to the corresponding efforts.
