The President of the Republic got a certificate of Ukrainian academician08.01.2003
 This afternoon at Kadriorg, the President of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences, Mikhail Zubets, handed to President Arnold Rüütel a certificate of Foreign Member of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences. The Academy awarded President Rüütel the academician's title unanimously on December 25, 2002.
The President of the Republic in his word of thanks expressed appreciation of this valuable acknowledgement. The Head of State said that the co-operation between Estonian and Ukrainian scientists had been fruitful. "I, on my part, will do my utmost to promote scientific contacts between our countries," President Rüütel added.
