The President's Cultural Foundation announces the Young Artist Prize

The Young Artist Prize, awarded by the President's Cultural Foundation, is intended for an Estonian artist up to the age of 35 years, whose artistic achievements have been recognized widely, or whose artistic work and activities have considerably helped to make Estonia and its culture known in the world.

The candidates may be put up by applicants themselves, their tutors, instructors, teachers, employers etc., and equally by the Members of the Board of the Cultural Foundation. The candidates have to submit a written application with personal particulars and a brief CV (name, address, education, occupational experience); description of creative activities; references from at least two recognized artists or one artistic association and one recognized artist.

All the documents concerning the applications for the prize have to be sent to the President's Cultural Foundation (Weizenbergi 39, 15050 Tallinn). The dealine for the submission of applications is 3 May 2002 (incl. date as per postmark).

The prize to the amount of 40 000 Estonian kroons will be awarded every spring. The prize will be funded by entrepreneur Toomas Luman, Member of the Board of the Cultural Foundation.
