The President of the Republic thanked "Äripäev"01.03.2002
 President Arnold Rüütel asked journalist Heidit Kaio from the newspaper "Äripäev", who has published in the given paper a series of articles about the funding of political parties, to Kadriorg today.
The President thanked through the journalist the Äripäev for having taken under detailed observation a topic which so far has been quite obscure. Journalist Kaio affirmed the President's hope that the newspaper would unveil the whole truth about funding political parties. At the same time, the journalist admitted that the heading of today's writing "President lied" was created collectively in the newspaper office, and does not accord with the information at the disposal of the paper.
